Our Policies

1.) We do book up months in advance, but will always try to fit orders in. Typically we book out 3 months at a time. As a reminder, holidays book up quickly and will not have guaranteed availability. If we are able to accommodate a last minute order, rush fees may apply.

 

2.) A $20 non-refundable deposit is required to book your order. The remaining balance is due 4-7 days before your order or the contract is considered null and void. Wedding and large orders may require a percentage of your order for deposit.

 

3.) The date of your deposit is the last day to request any changes of size, style, flavors, or colors to your custom order. Additional charges apply if there are changes at a later date.

 

4.) Delivery and set up is available for an additional fee.

 

5.) Sugar Sweetery is not responsible for any damages that may occur to the cake, cookies, cupcakes or any other treats after they’ve been picked up or after we’ve delivered. It's “Out of our hands, out of our control”.

 

6.) Pickup times are scheduled to provide each client their one-on-one time. Please be respectful of your pickup time, as we usually have multiple orders scheduled for pickup on the same day. If you believe you’ll be late in picking up, please message us to let us know and we can schedule a time that will not interfere with another client’s pickup time.

 

7.) Cakes and cupcakes are best stored in a fridge until an hour or two before serving. We recommend setting them out in advance to come to room temperature (68-72°F). Cookies are best stored at room temperature, refrigeration is not necessary. As a reminder - heat is not friendly to cakes and cupcakes.

 

8.) Sometimes there are instructions to cakes, including how to deconstruct a two-tier cake, how to cut, how many supports are in the cake and things of that nature. Please review these instructions to avoid any potential hazards.

 

9.) Sugar Sweetery reserves the right to photograph our work (cakes, cookies, cupcakes, etc) and use for display or promotion without any compensation to you.

 

10.) We unfortunately cannot accommodate dietary restrictions, as we are not an allergy-free kitchen. Products are made with shared equipment/supplies and may have come in contact with milk, wheat, nuts, tree nuts, soy, eggs, and other allergens. You agree and accept responsibility for notifying your guests of these risks and will not hold Sugar Sweetery liable, accountable, or responsible.
